About Me

Family Caregiver with 10+ years of experience

Hello and welcome! My name is Nick, and I have been a family caregiver to my father for over 10 years. During this time, I have had the privilege of caring for a fully-paralyzed loved one and have learned a lot about the challenges and rewards of caregiving.

Caring for a loved one with a chronic illness or disability can be demanding and overwhelming, but it can also be incredibly rewarding and fulfilling. I have learned a lot about patience, resilience, and the importance of self-care during my journey as a caregiver, and I'm proud to say that I have been a great son and a great support to my loved one. Now, I feel as if I have the opportunity to share my knowledge and insight with others in need of guidance.

In addition to my decade of family caregiving experience, I have over 3 years experience working as a support coordinator for special needs adults. I respectfully served as a trusted advisor to over 60 individuals and their families throughout 2 counties. I earned my SC certification in a course collaboration with the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities and The Boggs Center at Rutgers University.  I'm passionate about helping educate and inspire others. Please feel free to ask me more about my experience in this role, as I have much respect for the time I spent as  Support Coordinator.

Thank you for visiting my page and I hope that you will find the resources and support on this website helpful as you navigate your caregiving journey. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or need additional guidance – I am here to help.

Best,

Nick
